Ingredients
Chapatis (Roti) -- 5-6 nos. (should be made at night and use the next day morning)
Gram Dal -- 3 Tablespoon
Red chilly Powder -- 1 Tablespoon
Turmeric Powder -- 1/2 TeaSpoon
Oil -- As required
Coriander Seeds(Powder) -- 1 TeaSpoon
Mustard Seeds -- 1/2 TeaSpoon
Asofeotida -- 1/2 TeaSpoon
Onion -- 3 nos (Finely chopped)
Ground Nuts -- 50 gms
Method
Roast the gram dal and make powder. Crush chapatis to make small peices. Heat oil in a pan and put the mustard seeds, tumeric powder, asofeotida, ground nuts. Let the ground nuts deep fry till red and add the onions (finely chopped) . Close the pan with a lid. Let the onions become red-brownish. Add the small peices of Chapatis, gram dal powder, coriander seeds powder and salt(as per taste). Stirr well and close the pan with a lid for 10-12 minutes.
It is very delicious if had with a cup of curds.

Bread Churma
Ingredients
Sandwich Bread -- 1 Pack
Gram Dal -- 3 Tablespoon
Red chilly Powder -- 1 Tablespoon

Mustard Seeds -- 1/2 TeaSpoon

Green Chilly -- 4-5 nos (cut into small peices)
Lemon -- 1 no.

Grated Coconut and Coriander Leaves -- For Garnishing

Dal Pakwaan

Ingredients
Gram Dal -- 2 cups
Red chilly Powder -- 1 Tablespoon
Tamarind -- 50 gms
Jaggery (Gud) -- 100 gms
Plain Flour (Maida) -- 2 cups
Ajwan -- 15 gms
Oil -- As required
Coriander Seeds(Powder) -- 1 TeaSpoon
Asofeotida -- 1/2 TeaSpoon
Onion -- 2 nos (Finely chopped)
Green Chilly -- 4-5 nos
Method
For Dal
Soak Gram Dal in water for 2 hrs. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a small pressure cooker. Add a bit of jeera, asofeotida and Coriander Seeds powder and then put the soked gram dal into it. Add red chilly powder and salt as per taste. Stir it for 4-5 mins and then add water. When the water is at the boiling point, close the Pressure cooker with the lid and let it cook until 4 whistles.
For Tamarind Chutney
Soak the tamarind into water for about 2 hrs. Take some jaggery finely cut and mix into the soaked tamarind. Mix it well so as to make a gravy-like paste. Add salt as per taste. The Tamarind chutney is ready.
For Pakwaan
Add salt(as per taste), ajwaan to plain Flour and Make a dough. Prepare like puri and hit with aknife to make tiny holes. Add oil in frying pan and heat. Put the puris prepared, into the frying pan and fry until light brown.
Serving : Put the dal in a plate and garnish it will the tamarind chutney and finely chopped onion. Serve Pakwaan to eat with the dal. A fried green chilly with sprinkled salt, will be more yummy with this combination.

Vada Pav

Ingredients
Pav 4 nos (Or as you wish)
Potato (Boiled) 5 nos (Medium size)
Green Chilly 3 nos
Ginger 50 gms
Coriander Leaves 100 gms
Coriander seeds 15 gms (broken half)
Onion 2 nos (Finely chopped)
Oil as required
Gram Flour 150 gms
Ajwaan 5 gms
Red Chilly Powder 1 table spoon
Method
Peel off the boiled potatoes and smash them. Make a paste of Ginger,green chilly and coriander leaves. Add the paste, coriandar seeds, salt (as per taste) and finely chopped onion to the smashed potatoes. Mix it well. Make mediumsize balls of the mixture and then press a little on both sides to form ellipse shape. Mix the gram flour with water, Ajwaan,red chilly powder, salt (as per taste) and a pinch of sodium bicarbonate to form a medium - watery paste. Heat Oil in the frying pan for about 5-7 minutes. Take the Balls of the mixture and dip it the the gramflour watery paste and fry till it turns redish-orange. Now, the Vada is ready. Cut the Pav in the centre and push the vada in it to serve.Very delicious if you also add Tamarind paste and pudina chutney. Also Fried green chilly with salt sprikled and Coconut-Garlic chutney will taste delicous.
